What’s Ekbom’s syndrome?
A
- delusional psychosis → being infected with parasites
- physical sensation of parasties crawling around the body or burrowing into the skin (formication)

What’s Cotard Syndrome?
A
A delusion of either:
- being dead/ not existing
- being decaying
- losing all the possessions
*it can be a future of severe depression

What’s Rett’s syndrome?
A
- neurodevelopmental disorder
- similar to autism
- developmental decline occurs after 1-2 years of age (following a normal initial development)
- typical behaviours: screaming attacks, avoidance of eye contact, poor social interaction, loss of fine motor skills, developmental of stereotyped hand movements, ataxia

A
- delusional belief that someone of higher social status is in love with them
- erotomania
- commoner in women

What’s Ganser’s syndrome?
A
- a factitious disorder /pl sztuczny/
- giving approximate answers to simple questions
- the underlying theme of a question is understood
*deliberately giving an answer that may suggest an underlying psychiatric disorder
*theme is understood but wrong answer given

What’s Munchausen’s syndrome?
A
- factitious /sztuczny/ disorder
- people pretend to be ill or self-inflict a pathology in order to seek medical attention
*Munchausen by proxy → a different person is used for the same purpose (faking a pathology in a child)

What’s Fregoli’s syndrome?
A
- a delusion that a persecutor /przesladowca/ can change into many forms (e.g. looking like different people)

A
- aka delusional jealousy
- feeling that a partner is being unfaithful

A
- delusional belief that a close acquaintance has been replaced by an identical double
- most commonly seen in schizophrenia

A
- it is when a delusion in one person becomes shared by someone close to them
*when it occurs in 3 or more people → folie a trois/folie a plusieurs
