A type of mite that attaches to the dog skin from the outside and eats into the skin, causing issues. It is contagious to other dogs and people, so handling must be done correctly.

What are the controls for sarcoptic mange?
A veterinarian must treat these specific issues; however, somebody must clean the area as the dog has been. Use two different methods to clean the areas. A bleach mixture of 1:32 ratio of water must be applied to all surfaces and grounds and left to soak in and dry. If it is a porous surface you are concerned about changing color, a disinfectant dilution can be used, such as top performance kennel, disinfectant or san-o; you would need to dilute it as instructed
