What is setting?
When and where a story takes place.
Second-person point of view
When the reader is put in the story situation and words you and your are used by the narrator to speak to the reader.
First-person point of view
When the main character is also the narrator with the story going through their experience.
Third-person POV
When a narrator tells the story separate from any characters or the reader using she, he, it, and they.
Omniscient
A third-person narrator can be all-knowing.
Limited Omniscient
A limited omniscient narrator only knows the views of one or few characters.
Omniscient Narrator
Knows what all characters feel, think, and experience.
Allegory
When abstract ideas appear in concrete ways.
Archetypes
A cultural symbol that has become universally understood and recognized.
Theme
Issues and questions relating to life we see in a story.
