The Corporation (Canadian documentary).
Because TNCs have to put profit for their shareholders before any other consideration that this institution is essentially ‘pathological’.
Dependency theory.
Very critical of the activities of TNCs. They’d argue they behave in unethical ways and that TNCs increase rather than decrease global inequalities.
Counter-industrialist theories.
The exploitation of the environment. They put short term profit before long term sustainability of the environment.
Illich.
TNCs create false need through their advertising.
Cardoso.
TNCs are the legacy of colonialism.
Soros.
‘Market fundamentalism’ and uncontrolled capitalism.
Altvarter.
