The over head light is cold but becomes warmer as the dance continues. The diagonal shaft of light creates hope as it suggests a window of escape.

Electro acoustic with digitally sampled sounds to help create the bird like cry to show struggle.
How does the lighting demonstrate interrogation?
The over head light shows interrogation because it is cold and bright on the victim to show that he is the only one who is in trouble.

The can dance because the guards are beating and torturing the victim.

Split sole jazz shoes but the guards have rubber soles to define the sound of the question and answer.
