Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)
created to use instead of RPCs to allow apps to exch info over internet such as 2 diff OSs via a web-based communiaction method.
Raid level 0
Stripping only. No redundancy or parity. If one vlume fails its all lost. Used for performance only
RAID level 3
byte-level Stripping AND dedicated parity.. Data is stripped over all but parity held on last drive only. If drive fails it can be reconstructed from parity drive.
RAID 5
block-level striping and interleaving parity across all disks. No single point of failure. Most commonly used mode.
RAID 10
associated with stripping and mirroring. Its a combo of levels 1 and 0. Can support multiple failures.
