civil law vs criminal law
civil law has no jail time. not guilty or innocent. it’s about liability.
3 types of court cases:
tort (claimes against ppl for damage) , contract & property
copyright
protects original art of expression. how it’s reproduced distro ect.
trademark
protects name word picture that identifies an entity.
patent
protects invention. controls idea for a PoP.
The Internet architecture board it’s a committee for Internet design engineering and management it considers the following acts unethical and unacceptable behavior:
Purposely seeking to gain unauthorized access to Internet resources. Disrupting the intended use of the Internet. Wasting resources to purposeful actions. destroying the integrity of computer-based info.Compromising the privacy of others. Negligence in the conduct of Internet white experiments
are investigator notes admissible in court as evidence?
No! Notes that are taken by investigator will not be admissible in court as evidence in most cases. This is not seen as reliable info and can only be used by the investigator to help them remember activities during the castigation
a company has no warning about monitoring employees at the workplace. Can they legally monitor anyways?
No. The federal privacy act of 1974 was created to protect citizens from government agencies that personal data. The act has many stipulations including that information can only be used for the reason for which it was collected.
