What is a supranational body?
It is a liberalizing organization that operated beyond the jurisdiction of state. It formulates, regulates and monitors global policies which in turn affects trade and development in countries as these countries embrace globalization.
What is WTO?
It is a liberalizing organization set up by capitalist and market oriented economies to organize world trade
Main aim was to bring together countries of various custom unions and provide them the opportunity to make the decision to make multi lateral trade agreements
Wanted to reduce trade tariffs and to increase trading among member nations
What is the GTAA
Created in 1995 and was aimed to reduce trade tariffs and provide a platform for discussion for international trade
Aims of WTO
To allow producers of goods and services establish business goals while helping governments meet their social and environmental goals
But at certain circumstances maintain trade barriers to protect consumers for the spread of diseases
