Q

Why can’t aerobic respiration meet the demands for energy at the start of exercise?

A

Supply of oxygen to muscles is insufficient. Lungs and circulation are not delivering oxygen to the muscles fast enough therefore ATP is regenerated without oxygen

Q

What allows regeneration of ATP

A

First the ATP/PC system then anaerobic respiration then there will be an increase in blood supply to the muscles ensuring high oxygen supply to the muscle cells then aerobic respiration can regenerate ATP as quickly as it is being broken down.
