White tape
a cotton “athletic” tape. It comes in a variety of widths; 1/2, 1, 1 & 1/2, and 2 inches.
Stretch tape
Tape that stretches and has an adhesive backing. It comes in a variety fo widths, typically 2-3 inches. This tape is typically used for cover-up. May be refered to as Conform or Expand over tape
Powerflex
Just like stretch tape except that it does not have an adhesive backing. Power-flex will stick to itself. Comes in 2 and 3” widths
Elasticon/Elastoplast
A cotton tape with an elastic omponent. It comes in 2 and 3” widths. It stretches, but less than stretch tape. Used during the Achilles Tendon, Elbow Hyperextension, Collateral Knee Ligament tape jobs
Ace wrap
An elastic band used to apply compression, secure protective padding, or restrict motion. They come in a variety of widths (3, 4, or 6 inches) and lengths (single = 6 feet, double= 12 feet)
Foam
Material used for padding. Varieties include, open cell, closed cell, and thermomoldable. Closed cell will return to its original shape quickly after compression, while open cell foam will take longer to return to its origional shape. Thermomoldable foam can be shaped after heating and retains that shape.
Moleskin
A thin felt-like material with an adhesive backing. It comes in sheets or pre-cut chapes.
Felt
A pressed wood fiber which comes in various thicknesses: 1/4, 1/2, 1 inch.
