Insertion: Lateral 1/3 Clavicle, Acromion and spine of Scapula

Action: Elevates and depresses shoulder; retracts scapula; extends head

Nerve: Accessory Nerve (Cranial XI)

Origin: Spines of T6-T12, Thoracolumbar Fascia, Iliac Crest

Insertion: Intertubercular groove

Action: Adducts extends, and medially rotates arm
