Insertion: Bases of 2nd and 3rd metacarpals
Action: Flexes and abducts hand at wrist
Nerve: Median
Palmaris Longus
Origin: Medial epicondyle of humerus
Insertion: Palmar aponeurosis
Action: Flexes the wrist
Nerve: Median
Flexor carpi Ulnaris
Origin: Humeral head - Medial epicondyle of humerus
Ulnar head - Olecranon of Ulna
Insertion: Pisiform, hood of hamate, and 5th metacarpal
Action: Flexes and adducts hand at wrist

Flexor digitorum superficialis
Origin: Humeroulnar head - Medial epicondyle +
coronoid process
Radial head - Radius
Insertion: Sides of middle phalanx of 2nd-5th digits by tendon that splits
Action: Flexes hand at wrist and digits 2-5 at metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints
Nerve: Median
Flexor pollicis longus
Origin: Radius and interosseous membrane
Insertion: Distal Phalnax of thumb
Action; Flexes metacarpophalangeal joint and interphalangeal joint of thumb
Nerve: Median
Flexor digitorum profundus
Origin: Ulna and interosseous membrane
Insertion: Distal phalanges of 2-5 digits, tendon passes through bifurcation
Action: Flexes hand at wrist and metacarpophalangeal and distal interphlangeal joints of digits 2-5
Nerve: Lateral half by median nerve, medial half by ulnar nerve
Pronator Quadratus
Origin: Distal ullna
Insertion: Distal radius
Action: Pronation
Nerve: Median
