Coastal Process in sundarbans

A
  • Tidal action is primary coastal process
  • non-cohesive sediment are washed out of delta and deposited in banks, where winds blow them into sand dunes, with dunes protected, finer silt washed into the bay are deposited, forming new islands. Vegetations develops, forming mangrove forests.
