E.g.
Inspect purchase invoice for amount agree to purchase day book to ensure recorded accurately
Recalculate allowance for doubtful receivables using client formula to Verify arithmetic accuracy

Analytical procedures
Test of detail
Explain analytical procedures
Test balance as a whole to Identify unusual relationship
E.g.
Calculate receivables days and compare to credit terms to identify any overstatement
If too highly discuss with manager need to increase allowance for doubtful receivables
Calculate expected interest charge for loan by multiplying o/s loan amount by interest rate
