- Take subj in negative
6) French Conjunctive Phrases
- A condition que/A moins que(ne)/Afin que (ne) etc
7) Superlatives
8) Negative and Indefinite Pronouns
- In a subordinate clause with the NEGATIVE PRONOUNS (ne.. personne, ne… rien) or INDEFINITE PRONOUNS (quelqu’un/quelquechose)
‘Chercher’ rule
When you’re searching for someone who may not exist (doubt/uncertainty) = requires the subjunctive
‘Nier’ rule
In negative = follows ‘ne’ explétif
e.g. Il n’a pas nie qu’elle ne soit partie
Quoique vs Quoi que
Quoique = Even though
Quoi que = Whatever/No matter what
