When it expresses will, wish, influence, necessity, emotions, judgment, doubt, denial, and probability and has a different subject than the main clause

When the adjectival clause describes someone or something that is unknown, no existence, or something whose existence is in question

After conjunctions of time when the main clause refers to an event that is in the future it uncomplrted, and a after prepositions of purpose and contingency (a menos que), and after aunque when it means even if or although
