A discharge of the CEW due to a malfunction when the operator did not pull back the trigger.
Accidental Discharge
A discharge of the CEW when the operator unintentionally engages the trigger causing the CEW to fire and there is no malfunction in the equipment.
Negligent Discharge
A subjects verbal and/or physical refusal to comply with an officers lawful direction causing the Officer to use physical techniques to establish control.
Passive Resistance
A subjects use of physical evasive movements directed toward the Officer such as bracing, tensing, pushing or pulling, to prevent the Officer from establishing control over the subject.
Active resistance
A subjects attacking movements towards an officer that may cause injury but are not likely to cause death or great bodily harm to the Officer or others.
Aggressive Resistance
A subjects hostile, attacking movements with or without a weapon that create a reasonable perception by the Officer that the subject intend to cause and has the capability of causing death or great bodily harm to the Officer or others.
Deadly Force Resistance
What area is known as the primary target area? Also know as zone one.
Buttocks thighs and calves
This area is the abdominal area.
Secondary targeted area/zone two
This are carries the greatest are for injury which includes head, neck, spinal cord, kidney area and the center mass.
Third Target area/ zone three
The annual training course on the use of dart-firing stun gun must be a minimum of ——— hour duration.
