A

Dispensable - if there is a better way to achieve e , m can be dispensed so has no proper value

3 a work of art must be valued as art although it can be valuable in other ways too

Objective - eg math truths ,facts of the worlds etc
- not a degree/scale it either is or is not

Subjective -concerns person forming opinion
-not equally distributed and can be valued in degrees

Problems with reason and the truth?

A

1 complex reasons - the meaning may be complex leading to different interpretations

2 disagreement on reasons - substantial disagreement when reason can’t be seen to justify value

3 faulty application of reason - link between value and reasons distorted by extraneous factors
