What is the size of gastric GIST to suggest resection due to malignant potential
*all nongastric GIST get resected
> 2cm
Gastric NET (3 categories)
Type 1: chronic hypergastrinemia
2/2 atrophic gastritis
Type 2: chronic hypergastrinemia 2/2 tumor produced gastric
Type 3: sporadic, w/o hyperG, more aggressive
Size for endoscopic resection of rectal NET (best prognosis)
< 1cm
Malignant findings of GIST (4 total; if tumor has 3 or more think malignant)
- More than 3cm
- Nodular
- Heterogenous
- Anechoic area, ulceration
