- sudden onset thunderclap headache at back of head
- worst headache ever
- 10/10 pain

subarachnoid haemorrhage investigation
A
- CT non-contrast head within 6 hours of onset for diagnosis
- if diagnosis unclear, do an LP at 12 hours post-onset

treatment fro subarachnoid haemorrhage
A
- requires specialist for treatment > interventional radiologist for clipping
- can use nimodipine to prevent vasospasm as this is a common complication post SAH
