A
Self esteem is the overall confidence, worthiness and values one has in oneself. It is a degree of evaluation of ourselves and it can be positive and negative depending on self-image. It includes self-respect, self-confidence, self-value and self-worth.

What are the keys to increase self-esteem?

There are many ways of increasing self-esteem. They are:
- Self Enquiry (aatma-vichaara): Includes self reflection and introspection.
- Mindfulness (Dhyan): Helps in calming the mind and reduces self criticism.
- Breathing exercises (Pranayama): Helps in focusing on oneself and calming the body.
- Postures (Asanas): Benefits an individual mentally and physically and creates a positive body image.
- Inner strength (Tejas): Helps in increasing determination and staying mentally strong.
- Meditation (Dhyana): Helps in connecting with oneself.
- Self acceptance (Swatantra)
- Self care (Swadhyak)
