a cabinet is a group of small politicians who have to control and coordinate a large budget and complex state departments.

FEATURES OF THE EXECUTIVE:
-the President is both the head of state and of the government and is only allowed to serve for two five-year terms of office.
-the President may be removed from the office by means of impeachment or a vote of no confidence.
POWERS OF THE PRESIDENT AND CABINET:
-the President has a certain number of statutory powers such as signing bills, chairs cabinet meetings, bestow national orders or awards.
-the President and the Cabinet are collectively accountable to Parliament and makes decisions based on the principle of consensus.
LIMITATION OF POWER
the Constitution, the constitutional court and common law places a limitation on the powers of the cabinet.
COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILTY
the Cabinet acts as a unit, stands and falls together.
they are accountable to Parliament as a unit.
