How do we deal with the body and soul man’s fleshy nature?
We are to put off the old man; man’s regenerate nature; and put on the new man in Christ. The only way you can put on the new man is to renew your mind in Christ.
What does it mean to crucify the flesh?
It means to mortify the deeds of the body. carnal fleshly nature ; this is a part of our reasonable service.
How do we close the door on satan in our thought life?
We reckon ourselves dead to sin…renew our minds with the word and subdue our flesh…
Sanctified lifestyle and the believer’s authority.
if you walk in sanctification and holiness you won’t give place to the devil…he can’t dominate you if he can’t find a place in you and if you exercise your authority…
Can a Christian be oppressed by a demon or evil spirit?
Yes. physical oppression and mental, fear and bad moods…
Can an evil spirit possess a Christian
No. Total possession implies giving over spirit soul and body to an evil spirit…you couldn’t call that person a Christian it would be unscriptural…
Full possession:
Man’s has submitted his whole being: spirit, body and soul to be possessed or owned by evil spirits.
Can a Christian be demonized.
Yes. because they can be oppressed, and obsessed.
How and why can a believer command a devil to stop harassing, intimidating or deterring someone who is in another state.
they can because there is not distance in the spirit. (The Lord’s servant) doesn’t take a gift of the Spirit…(name of Jesus and knowing our rights and privileges in Him.
Do we have authority over those trying to harass the Body of Christ..
Yes. but only over the evil spirit; we don’t have authority over the person because we don’t have authority over human will; and he may want to keep the evil spirit. It stops them from harassing the Body of Christ.
Where do unclean spirits go when they are cast out?
to dry places seeking rest and finding none. (they go back to the house…if the person will let them in or look for someone else to inhabit) You cannot cast them into hell or the abyss because satan is still the god of this world until Adam’s lease runs out…
2 Cor 10:4-5 stronghold
It is unscriptural to try to pull down strongholds over cities and nations.
In the sense of warring tongues and yelling at the devil…verse 4 is talking about a believer taking charge of his mind…casting down reasonings imaginations and thoughts not nations and cities…(satan already defeated…don’t need to war in the heavenlies)
