1) Natural Numbers : all positive whole numbers, not including zero. Eg: 1,2,3,4….
2) Whole numbers : +ve whole numbers incl. zero
3) Integer numbers: +ve & -ve whole numbers, incl zero
4) Rational numbers: all numbers- +ve & -ve whole numbers and fractions incl zero
5) Real numbers: all +ve & -ve whole numbers, integers and rational numbers as well as all numbers that have infinite decimal places. They are often represented by a continuous number line with no gaps in the line to signify there is a real number between any 2 numbers you can imagine however close you may think they are together
