AVOID - kava kava, antidepressants, heart disease, diabetes, glacoma
S/E: anticholergic effects (drys you up)
A/R: allergic reaction, angioedema, MI, seizures
Tolcapone
S/E: anticholingic (drys you up)
A/R: hepattoxicity = MONITOR LIVER ENZYMES
GIVE with levadopa, but decrease the amount given.
LEVADOPA prolongs action by stopping the weearing off
Benztropine
AVOID - glacoma, tardive dyskinease, MG
A/R: bronchoconstriction
Bethanechol Chloride
AVOID- atropine, parkinsons pt, COPD/ASTHMA
Contradicted - GI obstruction/IBS
OVERDOSE=muscle weakness
GIVE 1 hr before or 2 hrs after meals
Cilostazol
VASODILATOR
Decreases pain r/t PVD, opens/dilates vessels
S/E peripheral edema
A/R hypotension, tachycardia, leucopenia
AVOID grapefruit juice, pts with heart problems, 4Gs, OTC meds
Clopidogrel Bisulfate
Antiplatelet PREVENTION of thrombosis in the ARTERIES, (MI, stoke, TIA) S/E ABD pain A/R elevated liver enzymes, peptic ulcer AVOID 4 G'S herbs & nsaids
Heparin Sodium
PREVENT/TREAT VENOUS throbosis, clots
ANTIDOTE - protamiine sulfate
AVOID OTC meds, NSAIDS
Enoxaprin
PREVENT DVT, PE post surgery
Warfarin
USED FOR CLOTS AND DVT

Atropine
Avoid- hot environments, glaucoma, BPH, mg, antihistimes
