Conduct blood away from the heart.
What are arterioles?
Smallest branches of arteries.
What are capillaries?
Smallest blood vessels with thin walls.
What are venules?
Smallest branches of veins.
What do veins do?
Return blood to the heart.
What is the biggest artery in the body?
The aorta.
What are the 3 branches that stem from the aorta?
- Brachiocephalic trunk.
- Common carotid artery (left)
3.Subclavian artery (left)
Where does the brachiocephalic trunk take blood to?
The arm and head.
Where does the common carotid artery take blood to?
The neck.
Where does the subclavian artery take blood to?
Regions under the clavicle.
