What do Functionalists believe?
A
That everything in society has a role and that it is held together by institutions. (legal, education, political, etc)

Role of women and children?
A
Children were seen as dependent. It didn’t believe that women should work outside of home.

Limitations?
A
Viewed change as negative. Did Not consider social class. Nuclear family only.

In favor of and support even if it negatively affects others. ie would have been pro slavery.
