First Wave
This movement continued to focus on property laws, to be legally seen as people, and the right to vote.
Second Wave
The underlying patriarchy that organized societal laws, policies, family structures, gender stereotypes, etc. began to be challenged in the U.S. & Canada.
Third Wave
Challenged the assumption that there is a universal female identity, and instead include multiple & individual identities. Focus on language

Wants to rebuild society

Equality gender roles and economic equality between men and women.

discrimination based not just on gender, but on ethnicity, sexuality, economic background, etc.
