Structural Analysis Flashcards
What is does Sructural analysis refer to ?
The manipularion of antecedents
How is structural analysis different from functional analysis
It is hypothesis driven assessment that focuses on the relationship between the antcedent and the contextual variables.
What does Structural analysis focus on ?
Focuses on the antecedent or contextual variables that se tthe stage or preced target behaviour.
What types of behaviours does structural analysis focus on ?
Adaptive i.e. appropraite behaviurs as well as probelmatic behaviours
How does a researcher control for variance in structural variance in structural analysis?
By creating a standard or control assessment condition. By adding or contrating each hypothesized contextual variable.
What emphasis does structural analysis place on behaviour ?
Structural analysis places greater emphasis on alternative behaviours to gain the identification of the function.
How might and FA and SA be used together ?
SA assists in a more systemativ manipulation of contextual variables when the results of an FA have proved in conclusive.
