What are symptoms of a posterior cerebral artery occlusion?
- Contralateral homonymous hemianopia
- Hemisensory loss and hemi-body pain (due to thalamic infarction)
What does Romberg’s test test for?
Sensory ataxia (loss of proprioceptive or vestibular function, dorsal columns)
UMNL pattern of weakness in power
- Extensors of arm are weak (arms are flexed)
- Flexors of hip are weak
What are the nerve roots of the biceps reflex?
C5 (mostly) and C6
What are the nerve roots for the brachioradialis reflex?
C5 + C6
What is the alernative name for the brachioradialis reflex?
Supinator reflex
What are the nerve roots of the triceps reflex?
C7 (mostly) + C6
What are the nerve roots of the knee jerk (quadriceps) reflex?
L4 (mostly) + L3
What does a pendular reflex suggest?
Cerebellar injury
