What is ischemic stroke?

A
  • Most common type of stroke (80%)
  • Brain deprived of blood due to blood clot or blockage of an artery due to movement of fatty plaque or blood clot

What is haemorrhagic stroke?

A
  • Less common (20%)
  • Break in blood vessel (aneurysm) in brain resulting in area of bleeding

  • Amnesia
    -Inattention
    -Confusion
    -Depression
