Give a brief description of a stroke
A stroke is defined as an abrupt neurological outburst caused by impaired perfusion through the blood vessels to the brain.
What is the Aetiology of a stroke?
A blocked artery (ischemic stroke) or the leaking/bursting of a blood vessel into the brain (hemorrhagic stroke)
What is the Pathophysiology of a stroke?
Limited or blocked blood supply to part of the brain, damaging or killing brain cells.
