Q

Skills - Application to theory (2)

A

1) Ankle joint -> plantar flexion to strike through the ball
Joint = Hinge
Agonist = Gastrocnemius
Antagonist = Tibialis anterior

2) Modern technology -> 4G pitch means even and constant bounce -> also allows games to be played in all weather conditions, as the pitch can’t be waterlogged

Q

Tactics - Success on performance (3)

A

1) Produces a great goal scoring opportunity

2) Difficult to mark, always open to receive the ball -> on this occasion, the run left him 1v1 with the keeper (scored)

Q

Tactics - Application to theory (3)

A

1) Massed / fixed practice -> over learning the skill of taking the corner and hitting that area -> becomes natural

2) Intrinsic feedback / Knowledge of results / Knowledge of performance -> knows that his run worked after he went on to score

3) Autonomous stage of learning -> he can apply his skills to a number of different positions -> it is all natural

Q

Fitness - Observations (3)

A

1) Tracks back opposition winger -> shows great aerobic endurance

2) Shows good strength to win the ball back off the defender and then hold him off to win a foul

3) Core - Relate to game!
CV endurance - Tracking back winger in latter stages of game
Musc endurance - Played the whole 90 minutes
Strength - Hold off defenders, win duels
Agility / Balance - High speed dribbling

Q

Fitness - Theory (3)

A

1) High levels of aerobic endurance / VO2 max. Male -> larger lung capacity, more SO muscle fibres -> low fatigue resistance

2) Higher levels of static / dynamic strength. Male -> typically stronger, greater cross sectional area of muscle fibres

3) CV ADAPTATIONS / STRENGTH ADAPTATIONS TO BE ADDED
