Q

Arthur is playing a game where he has to remember all of the items that he is shown. For example a teddy bear, a magazine and a lollipop. The more he remembers the more he wins at the end. What strategy for improving memory should he use and how?

A

The best choice would be method of loci. Everytime he sees an item he could build it into a story. For example he could imagine a teddy bear reading a magazine while eating a lollipop. This would make it easier to recall the objects!

Q

Callum is planning his wedding guest list and is worried he will forget someone. Suggest one strategy Callum can use to increase his memory success.

A

Organisation. Rather than recalling lists of names, Callum could create a family tree and organise the list of names. That way the names become semantic and organised rather than jumbled and hard to recall.
