Google’s approach to manage talents:
Googles put strategic work system (selection, recruit,perks, rewards system, cultures, trust, performance mgmt.) in place to make impact on outcomes for employees, managers, companies, local communities, nations (i.e. turnover, retention rate, revenues, profits, innovation) under its particular context (i.e. labor market, law, industry, technology, economy).
Google has people and innovation lab (PiLab) to conduct research internally on employee-related decisions and issues. they extend its analytic culture tp its HR function.
Build better managers - Google’s Project Oxygen: PiLab team use analytic to identify 8 behaviors of good managers and 5 behaviors that all managers should avoid.
Google makes the choices to be an integrator of talent managements by providing diverse services and modules of employee wellness, compared with segment-ors (i.e. separate private life and work life)
People analytics: the collection and use of data and analytic tools to inform decisions about how to manage people in the workplace. it should be aligned with strategy of the company, goals and objectives.
