What is exotropia?
Exo - deviating outward
Tropia - Present when there is no disruption in binocular vision (ie: does not require cover uncover test to identify)
What is esotropia?
Eso: Nasal (inward) deviation
Tropia: Present when there is no disruption in binocular vision (ie: does not require a cover uncover test to identify)
What is esophoria?
Eso - Nasal (inward) deviation
Phoria - latent strabismus that is present only when binocular fusion is disrupted (picked up with cover uncover test)
What is exophoria?
Exo - deviating outward

A patient with a down and out gaze likely has palsy of which cranial nerve? Also may have ptosis and poor pupillary reaction to light
- Cranial nerve III
- Occulomotor
A patient has esotropia which cranial nerve palsy could cause this? (no downward deviation)
Cranial nerve 6 (Abducens)
- paralysis of the lateral rectus which is responsible for moving the eye laterally
