What the storm symbolises
- Political opression and violence
- Challenges faced by Irish
- May be symbollic of the political storm that would brewing which would later be named as “The Troubles”

He was a Catholic Republican (Minority) who wanted a united Ireland independant of Britain - links to we and the secne of unity in the poem and the importance of working togeather.
Troubles : Protestants who wanted NI to stay a part of Britain VS catholic who wanted a united Ireland independant of Britain.
