- Evokes sence of cosmic irony as the stentorian nature of the engraving is so arrogant which contrasts to the surroundings. where “nothing beside remains” Suggesting entropy is inevitable…
- Jesus - arrogant+ Hubristic + Shelly critises the entitlement of monarchs.
Ozymandias doesnt mean this as a biblical allusion however it is percieved in that way by the reader. - Caesura slows pace implying that his reign is immortal
C - Shelly disguises his critisism of the Establishment by critising Ozymandias who was inspired by egyptian tyrant Rameses II by potraying his entitlement and arrogance.

- Initally gives the impression of a Shakesperan sonnet as it starts with ABAB and Iambic pentamenter in initial quatrain
- However initial resemblance disintergrates especially by the final
6 lines which more closely resembles a Petrachan sonnet.
