One branch: Starts ST 40- connects w/ SP channel
Primary branch: up lateral aspect of Tibia to top of head- then downwards to connect w/ throat
ST 1-4
Crossing Pt w/ yang qiao
face, eyes, nose, mouth
crossing Pt of Yang Qiao
ST1-ST4
ST 5-7
Jaws, TMJ, Toothache
ST 10-11
Same as ST 9
along path of carotid artery
- benefits throat and neck
- descends LU qi
ST9-12
Neck
upper border clavicle
ST 13-18
chest: pain, LU issues, breast issues
ST 19-24
abdomen: digestive issues
harmonize middle jiao= send food down
descend qi
ST 21 more frequently used-important local point for ST, esp excess issues:
- Regulates ST and alleviates pain
- subdues rebellious qi and stops vomiting
- Harmonizes middle jiao
- raise qi, stops diarrhea (undigested food in stool)
ST 26-ST 30
Lower abdomen= urination, ob/gyn, hernia

Lower Leg
ST 41-45
dorsum of foot
clear heat from face, fever, redness, tooth ache
calm shen
ST 1
- cheng qi- “containing tears”
crossing pt w/ yang qiao and Ren (dedman) (along with 3,4)
Perpendicular .5-1.0
- symptomatically treats eye problems from any etiology (ext/int, def/ex)
- expels wind clears heat -eye problems or facial probs d/t wind
- brightens eyes
- stops tears
ST 2

LI 20 + ST 2 reduce pain of round worms in bile duct
ST 3
Crossing PT w/ Yang Qiao (along w/ 1,2)
perp. .3-.5
same as ST 1 and 2:
expels wind and clears heat but nose (bleeding, obstruction) not just eyes
removes obstructions from CH and alleviates pain
relieves swelling: legs and knees; teeth& gums

- removes obstruction from CH relieves pain- facial paralysis, deviation of mouth, tooth ache, twitching, roving eyeball
- benefits tendons and muscles: face (paralysis, aphasia, excessive salivation, spasm of eyelid; inability to eat) legs (atrophy disorder w/ inability to walk, swelling of leg)
etiology of face pain:
w-c
ST or LV fire
Yin def heat
ST 5
eliminates wind and reduces swelling

Ghost PT
ST 6
ST 6
Ghost point
Expels wind (but this point doesnt really expel heat-better for jaw)
- mental issues
- emotional problems

Below zygomatic arch
- great for TMJ
- facial paralysis
- ear problems: ringing, tinnitus
Combine w/ ST 44 for problems of upper jaw and toothache, clenching teeth when sleeping; upper jiao
