Used in cancer patients:
- 5-HT3 receptor antagonists – Setrons [Ondansteron] [CTZ]
- NK1 receptor antagonists – Aprepitant

- Muscarinic Ach receptor antagonists – Hyoscine, scopolamine [VC]
- Histamine H1 receptor antagonists – Cyclizine, cinnarizine [VC]
o Used in pregnancy
antiemetics dopamine
– Domperidone, metoclopramide [CTZ]
- Used for drug-induced vomiting and in Parkinson’s
coeliac disease
Ix: anti-TGG, also check for IgA deficiency which could give false result
1) Gluten free diet for life
tropical sprue
Bloods + History
- Malabsorption from tropics and subtropics due to abnormal bacterial colonization
- Presents with diarrhoea, weight loss and macrocytic anaemia due to Vitamin B12
deficiency
1) Broad spectrum antibiotics
