S+S: Caused by the immune system attacking the cells that are infected by the bacteria

Infection that is above the cervix including the uterus, fallopian tubes and the ovaries. Most problematic when it reaches the fallopian tubes. This can cause scar tissue.

Ceftriaxone IM and 14 days of oral doxycycline and metronidazole, surgery to remove adhesions or to treat the complications that may have been caused.
