first beatitude means
blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
spiritual things are more important than material things, everything comes from god
second beatitude means
blessed are they who morn, for they will be comforted
we are morning because we sin and do bad things but we hope that we will be comforted by the Holy Spirit
third beatitude means
blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land
if we are meek, we are gentle and kind and patient with self control. god likes us when we are meek
fourth beatitude means
blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied
god wants us to feel hungry and thirsty for good, so he can fill us up when we get to heaven
fifth beatitude means
blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy
we have to be loving and kind to everyone, even those we don’t know or like
sixth beatitude means
blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see god
if we keep our mind, thoughts, and heart full of goodness, then god will be closer to us
seventh beatitude means
blessed are the peacemakers, for they will become children of god
if we are peacemakers, we will become more a part of god’s family and be more like him
last beatitude means
blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
if we live a life with god, even i we are made fun of or something, we will go to heaven
how does the beatitudes relate to stewardship
if we follow the beatitudes, we will become good stewards
