The ability to freely choose how to use your gifts to benefit others
Ex: playing an instrument at a nursing home
What is reverence?
Respecting the differences between different people
Ex: respecting other family’s culture
What is genetics?
The scientific study of genes
What is heredity?
All the traits and characteristics that you get
What is ethnicity?
Ways of doing things that are handed down from one generation to the next
What is humility?
To be honest with ourselves and to except our relationship with god, to accept our limitations
Ex: letting other people take a turn at something
What is integrity?
Being true to the person God wanted you to be
Ex: not wearing something you don’t want to wear for the sake of someone else’s opinion
What is resilience?
The courage to deal with failure
Ex: showing your parents your report card even if you got bad grades
What is respect?
To treat other people with love and kindness
Ex: saying nice things about someone’s belongings even if you don’t particularly like them
What is abortion?
Ending the life of an unborn child
What is baptism?
The sacrament where a person is made a sharer in new life in God
What is altruism?
The willingness to put other’s needs before your own
Ex: feeding your family before feeding yourself
What is empathy?
Sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others
Ex: comforting someone after someone they loved died
What is stewardship?
The actions of caring for god’s gifts that he gave us
Ex: taking care of the things parents buy for you
What is wisdom?
To see all of creation as god does
Ex: taking care of nature
