5 types of reverb
Room Plate Hall Chamber Spring
Room reverb
subtle amounts on everything
Plate reverb
metallic, fake reverbs. Used on sound you want in the front of the mix. Also help things in the front shine. Vocals, leads, and anything we want in the front.
Hall reverb
huge space, opposite of plate. Meant for sounds you want to put back in the mix. The longer the tail, the further the sound feels.
Chamber reverb
smaller space than a hall. Sound great on snares and claps.
Spring reverb
similar to plate. Often found in guitar amps. Used on things we want in the front of the mix, specifically instrumentation.
