Give a decent definition of stem cells (Ollie might struggle)
Stem cells are a kind of cell which can multiply and change into different kinds of specialised cells.
What is an embryonic stem cell. (I’ll give you a clue, IVF, like Ollie)
An embryonic stem cell is used to make children with out the male fertilising the egg. The fertilisation is done outside the body in a laboratory.
Give some social issues for stem cells.
Any of the below:
Christians think it’s not right to make children with out sex.
People think it is “tampering with unborn children” as it is choosing a specific sperm.
Name some risks of stem cells.
Organ damage, cataracts, infections, infertility, new cancers and even death can be caused by stem cell treatment. These can happen when a Patient an allergic reaction.
