they can turn into any type of cell after differentiation (changed to become specialised)

stem cells can be transferred from a healthy person and can replace faulty blood cells in the patient who receives them

they could replace faulty cells in sick people - you could make insulin-producing cells for people with diabetes, nerve cells for people paralysed by spine injuries
