What does it respond well to?
Single cell protozoan parasite
Infects vagina and urethra
Symptoms- dysuria, discharge
Cause frothy discharge and “strawberry cervix”
Responds well to metronidazole
Genital warts? Are cervical smears encouraged?
Extremely common
HPV 6 + 11
90% are these ones which are low risk so increased smears not recommended
