- After opener bids 1NT
Responder - 8-9 HCP - one or both 4 card majors Don't Stayman if hand is flat Bid 2C Forcing for 1 round
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2D
Opener does not have four card major
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2H
Opener has 4+ H and may have 4+ S
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2S
Opener has 4+ S and does not have 4 H
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2H -> 3H
Responder has 3+ H but only 8-9 HCP
Opener
- 15 TP - pass to play in H
- 17 and/or 5+H bid 4H
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2H -> 4H
10+ TP and 4+H -> bid 4H
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2H -> 2NT
Responder has 4S but not 4H
- Not forcing
Opener
- decides if 2NT, 3NT, or with 4+S bid 4S
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2H -> 3NT
Signoff bid
Responder
- 4S can bid 4S
- Otherwise 3NT
Stayman 1NT->2C -> 2S -> 3S
Responder has 4 S and 8-9 TP
