“No more work tonight. It’s Christmas Eve!”

“I should like to be able to say a word or two to my clerk just now!”
11 - Scrooge’s past self values money and wealth.
“He was older now… There was an eager, greedy restless motion in his eyes.”
12 - What idol
“What idol has displaced you?”
13 - Our contract is
“Our contract is an old one. It was made when we were both poor.”
14 - Conduct me
“Conduct me home. Why do you delight to torture me?”
15 - Scrooge struggles to see his past life and cannot stand to see anymore.
“He seized the extinguisher-cap, and by a sudden action pressed it down upon its head.”
