Q

A. What’s the purpose of standard deviation

B. Can it be negative

C. When can standard deviation be 0

A

A. Standard deviation allows us to see how far apart individual values are from the mean

B. Standard deviation cannot be negative it must be 0 or greater

C. Standard deviation can only be 0, when all numbers on the list are the same i.e (7,7,7,7)

Q

In a consecutive list, in order to find the value of a odd or even consecutive list, what would the increment be when finding (no of terms)

A

The increment for odd and even numbers must only be 2 only when it specifically tells the consecutive list is odd or even

Q

What must the increment for a normal consecutive list be when you are finding the sum of list, and using the no of total terms formula in finding the increment

A

Increment must be 1 only unless stated a different number.

(Big - small)/1) - 1 = no of total terms in a normal consecutive list
